The Gaui 550 Hurricane is available in a basic kit form (90% assembled kit with no motor or speed controller) or packaged as a 90%ARF with motor and speed controller

Dual stage drive train eliminates large diameter main gears found on all other models of this type. Small diameter gears means more streamlined canopy for faster forward flight characteristics - backwards flight characteristics improve as well. Note the push-pull linkage on the swashplate controls.
High motor mount for excellent serviceability, improved cooling and best possible center of gravity. High quality CNC aluminum mounting plate acts as both heat sink and stable mounting platform.
Clean and simple mixing arm placement. Rugged ball links with full ball bearings on all linkage arms makes for stable flight and low maintenance. Secondary mounting holes on mixer and washout arms allow for a variety of control settings to suit you personal flying style.
Easily serviceable, low maintenance tail assembly uses durable belt driven tail system. Bearing supported tail belt idler increases tail pulley to belt contact area increasing tail performance and extending belt life.
Over under battery placement maintains clean C of G. Side pedestal mount accommodates motor speed controller away form other sensitive electronics and encourages a clean and simple wiring scenario.
Gyro mounting platform is in safe, high position as close to main mast as possible. Swashplate anti-rotation system uses floating A-frame design with push/pull linkage. Main frames are made from a unique, ultra-durable mix of DuPont plastic and fiberglass composite material.
